Welcome to the US NZ Partnership Forum 2015
E nga mana, e nga reo, e nga rangatira, tena koutou katoa!
We invite you to join us at the sixth United States New Zealand Partnership Forum, to be held in Auckland on 30 June 2015.
Delegates to this high level event will discuss the scope for deepening and broadening the Pacific Partnership between the two countries in areas such as commerce, political engagement, security and defence, and a range of key sectors.
Under the theme of "Pacific Partners - the next generation", the Forum will bring together current and emerging leaders from the American and New Zealand Governments, businesses and academic institutions who will be advocates for the bilateral relationship over the next two decades. This Forum will seek to look beyond the traditional Wellington/Washington nexus and consider how to go "beyond the beltway" to foster economic, political and personal ties more broadly between the two countries.
We will discuss emerging trade and investment opportunities, look at what new trade agreements can do to advance our economic interests, consider our shared responsibilities on the United Nations Security Council and discuss how we can collaborate to meet the challenges of the fast evolving international security situation.
Organised by the NZ US Council and its Washington-based counterpart the US NZ Council, the event builds on the proven track record of success built up over successive Forums, from the inaugural event in 2006 to the most recent Forum in Washington DC in April 2013. The event will also showcase the beautiful city of Auckland, the City of Sails, to our American guests.
We hope you can join us.
Hon Simon Power QSO
Chairman of the NZUS Council
